Confidentiality

All that takes place within the therapy sessions is treated with respect, discretion and strict confidentiality. I will keep confidential notes to assist with future treatment which are kept in secure files at all times. Unless you choose to tell them, your GP, your family, spouse, employer or place of study will not know and neither will anything go on your medical record without your consent. There are a few exceptions for legal or safety reasons (for example if you are about to cause harm to yourself, others or children). If I felt legally obligated to break confidentiality I would inform you and explain why. In some cases, in order to give you the best possible treatment and to further enhance the effectiveness of therapy I would ask that treatment be carried out with the knowledge of your GP or other health care professional. However this can only happen with your written agreement.

Payment

Payment must be made in advance, although exceptions can be made for cash payments when necessary. All discounted packages must be paid for on booking. Pre-paid sessions must be used up within two months from the date of booking, unless we agree otherwise.

Cancellations

I will endeavour to give as much notice as possible should we need to alter the timing of our session or cancel, in the event of an emergency. Once a session is booked, I reserve the right to charge in full for any cancellations with less than 48 hours notice unless you exercise your cancellation rights as explained below. You have the right to cancel any booking by prior notice in writing given within 7 days, commencing on the day after the booking is made. Unless we agree otherwise, you will not be able to cancel a booking once performance of the services has begun. You agree that performance of the services begins when you provide any information to me that I then use in preparation of our sessions.

Lateness

If you arrive late for your session we will still finish at the time it was due to finish and you will be charged at the full fee.

Holidays

If you are undertaking a longer course of treatment, please let me know if you have any holidays planned, and I will of course do the same with you.

Home visits

Home visits are available on request, depending on your circumstances, however you will be asked to pay a little more, depending on your location, to include travel time and fuel costs. Home visits are subject to the law of distance selling and you have the right to cancel and ask for a full refund within 7 days of booking and paying for any course of treatment.

Safety

All reasonable steps will be taken to ensure your safety physically and psychologically. I will refuse to see anyone under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs.

Parking

Free parking is normally available outside the clinic. It is your responsibility to check the parking signs to ensure you have the required time.

Refunds

You have the right to cancel your booking and ask for a full refund within 7 days of booking and paying for any course of treatment, provided work (including but not limited to preparatory work) has not already been done, in which case no refunds will be payable.

Therapy Disclaimer

Companions

As therapy is a totally confidential treatment, I do not encourage companions to be present. This is because it can inhibit the flow of dialog or be distracting.

Audio Tracks

You may be given audio downloads to assist you with the practice of hypnosis and self hypnosis, or purely for relaxation. Audio tracks must never be listened to whilst driving and you should always make sure you are in a safe place when you go into hypnosis or listen to any hypnosis downloads. Audio tracks are given purely at my discretion and I cannot be responsible for any technical problems associated with download or use.

Guarantee

I guarantee to be 100% committed to helping you to help yourself and I do my very best to give you the best possible treatment I can. However, I cannot guarantee you will achieve your desired outcome – you are the only one who can guarantee your success.
